Remiscape Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 31, 2026 Last amended: September 10, 2026

Kamo IT Juku LLC ("we", "us" or "our") establishes this Privacy Policy (this "Policy") regarding the handling of user information in the Remiscape mobile application (formerly PostTrip) and related websites and services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information in the course of providing the Service.

Account Information

• Email address
• Identifiers, name and other information provided by your authentication provider (Apple or Google)
• Username, display name, profile image and other information you register
• The time zone of your device at account creation (recorded once)

Your Content

• Photos, place information (names and coordinates of the city, town or village where they were taken), when they were taken, notes, credits (photographer, holder, etc.), the "home place" you register, and other content you post or register
• Per-post visibility settings, per-post location precision (exact spot, approximate area, or town only), and per-photo settings for publishing the shooting location

Photo Metadata (EXIF)

• EXIF data embedded in your photos (capture date, location, etc.) is read on your device while composing a post. We only read the photos you select
• The capture date helps fill in when the photo was taken; the shooting location becomes the post's map pin. Shooting locations are stored on our servers
• EXIF data is automatically removed from delivered images
• For each photo, you choose whether its shooting location is shown on the map; the shooting locations of photos you keep off the map are managed as private information on our servers and are never published

Purchase Information

• Purchase and subscription status of the paid plan (Remiscape Plus)
• Payments are processed by the App Store or Google Play; we never receive your credit card number or other payment details

Usage and Device Information

• How you use the app (events such as screen views, posting and sharing)
• Device model, OS version, app version, language settings, etc.
• Diagnostic information when errors occur
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), used to deliver ads on the free plan. See Section 9

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

1. Provide and maintain the Service and verify your identity;
2. Provide features such as displaying posts, maps and place search;
3. Confirm paid plan status and deliver plan benefits;
4. Improve the Service, develop new features and analyze usage;
5. Prevent fraud and respond to violations of the Terms of Service;
6. Respond to inquiries and deliver important notices.

3. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on the following third-party services. Please refer to each provider's privacy policy for details on how they handle information.

4. Location Information

1. Location information in the Service comes primarily from photo EXIF data and places you select manually.
2. For each photo, you choose whether its shooting location is shown as a pin on the map.
3. The shooting locations of photos you keep off the map are managed as private information on our servers and are never published.
4. On Android, permission to access your photos is required in order to read shooting locations. If you decline, no shooting location is collected and none appears on your post (you can still choose the place on the map manually).

5. Sharing with Third Parties

We do not provide your personal information to third parties without your consent, except:

1. Where required by law;
2. Where necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and obtaining your consent is difficult;
3. Where cooperation with government agencies is required and obtaining your consent would impede the performance of those duties.

Entrusting information to the service providers listed in Section 3 (data processing on our behalf) does not constitute third-party provision.

6. International Data Transfers

Data for the Service may be stored on servers located outside Japan, operated by providers such as Google LLC and Cloudflare, Inc. We select providers that implement appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

7. Retention and Deletion

1. We retain collected information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above.
2. A post you delete stops being shown to other users immediately and is erased from our servers 60 days after deletion. Photos removed from a post while editing are also erased after 60 days (preview images for public links may persist for a time in external services' caches).
3. You can delete your account from the app's settings. After account deletion, your content and personal information are deleted after a reasonable period required to purge backups and caches.
4. Information we are legally required to retain is kept for the period prescribed by law.

8. Data Export

You can export your post data from the app's settings.

9. Advertising

On the free plan, the Service displays advertising delivered by Google AdMob (Google LLC). No ads are shown while you are subscribed to Remiscape Plus.

1. To deliver ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), IP address, and information about how ads are shown and interacted with. See How Google uses information in advertising for details.
2. On iOS, we track using the advertising identifier only if you allow it in the system "Allow tracking?" prompt. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be based on your interests.
3. If you use the Service from the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, or a comparable region, we present a consent form before delivering ads and serve ads according to your choice.
4. You can change how your advertising identifier is used at any time in your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads).
5. Ads are limited to moments that do not interrupt creating a post or interacting with the map.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

11. Security

We implement reasonable safeguards — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect collected information against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration and leakage.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Policy in response to changes in law or in the Service. For material changes, we will provide advance notice within the Service or by other appropriate means.
